Outdoor Dining
There are two dining tables on the main patio, an 8-eight seater and a 4-seater, both with umbrellas. There are other chairs, 2 sofas with a table and a selection of further benches and tables scattered around the courtyard positioned so you can follow the sun!
The sofa cushions are usually kept in place during the summer months.
During periods of bad weather some furniture may be taken to store inside. Please let us know if you require it. There is always plenty left out for the extra hardy ones!
We also provide a propane gas barbeque and barbeque tools so you can enjoy long evenings outside grilling to your heart's content!
Outdoor Relaxing
We offer a fabulous hot tub for your own private use during your stay, where you can relax and chat. Please be mindful when using the hot tub if you have children and that it can remain covered if you do not wish it to be available.
We also offer a range of outdoor games that can also be enjoyed during your stay including: Tennis/Badminton net with bats, balls and shuttlecocks; a croquet set; rounders set; French boules; skittles; quoites; and football.
Our Gardens
Our gardens can be enjoyed throughout the year, with bursts of colour each season starting with snowdrops, daffodils and tulips in the spring, with aubretia, alliums and peonies coming into their own in the summer, through to the changing golden and red foliage of autumn. Even in the winter you can enjoy the sparkling frost on the grass and the big skies that hang over this part of the world.
Our Paddock
Next to the house is a large grassed paddock for our guests' exclusive use. It is accessed via the small metal gate at the end of the path at the back of the large flowerbed by the main entrance. This is a perfect area to enjoy the selection of outdoor games stored in the trunk at the far end of the kitchen. There is a tennis/badminton net with bats, balls and shuttlecocks, croquet set, French boules, skittles, quoits, rounders and football.
This is also a great place for playing with the family dog for exercise off the lead. There is lots of space for a game of 'fetch'.
